Zen Spa & Massage

Original therapist was unilaterally switched without my permission or consent. New therapist did not release all my muscle knots, thought she did a fair job. When I mentioned to the receptionist that I needed to escalate to acupuncture, due to deep tissue not working, he suggested a different therapist with more pressure. I said "if that is [initial, scheduled therapist] and you switched me away from her, I want my $15 [tip] back." I got the impression Zen Massage didn't want to cure me, they wanted me to keep coming back. It's a trust issue. In order to meet future client expectations, a little *advance* communication will excuse a multitude of sins and bad choices. Regardless of whether I had a preference, they changed therapists on me without notice and without my request, consent, or permission -- like rape or most road construction. If they had notified me beforehand, with the explanation -- who knows? I might have been calmer/ more relaxed and the new therapist *would* have been able to accommodate my request. If I *had* made a stink about it beforehand, I feel like the session probably would have gone even worse. It's not the new therapist's fault and it was absolutely unfair of the person in charge of scheduling (receptionist/ office manager/ franchise owner/ president of the company) to put her in that position. Second, when they learned I was not cured, they seemed to sense an opportunity to get me back again with little increased effort on their part or the staff's part (the other therapist just naturally uses more pressure...). The fact that the receptionist mentioned this *after* they unilaterally switched me, made me *extremely* suspicious and angry. Finally, they reached out to me after my first draft of "detractor feedback" to seemingly make excuses for and rationalize all the choices that led to my poor experience. This is adding insult to injury. I will not go back, and I do not recommend Zen Massage Henderson. Visit other branches at your own risk.

Millie and Melisha were fantastic. I got a deep tissue from Millie and my girlfriend got a Swedish from Melisha. We were able to book a couples massage same day. We'll be back!

I hate to leave a negative review but I feel that it is my duty to give my honest review based on my personal experience. I gave this place a one star because the establishment itself is very tidy and clean. The receptionist Jennifer was also very kind and sweet. Now on to the massage itself….it advertises 60 min massage for $59. The gift card I received was for a 60 min massage for $59. I went back with Millie at 11:57. That gave me time to undress and take my jewelry off. Approximately 12:05 was when she began the massage. The pressure was literally nonexistent at first. I asked her to give me more pressure. She did at first then she went back to lightly massaging me. I told her from the beginning that my neck and shoulders needed work as they were tight and sore. I’m very petite and in the past massage therapist are hesitant to put pressure. This appeared to be the case with this therapist. The massage went on with hardly any pressure. She stopped the message at 12:50 exactly. I was surprised as I thought the massage was 1 hour. There was so much oil on my body. She did not even leave a towel for me to wipe myself off. I proceeded to go to the bathroom so I can wipe myself down. Luckily they had wash cloths. I left this place not relaxed but very upset. This was not worth my drive or my time. I would never come here again. I’m sure the other therapists are great. I just got very unlucky. I do want to thank Jennifer for checking me in and being so kind as I told her about my experience which she had apologized.

Zen Massage Henderson has become our go-to for massages! They are always so nice and hospitable when we call to book. The actually space is clean, quiet, and the massage itself is so relaxing. Plus, the prices are competitive! We love Zen Massage!

Jaqueline was an experience I’ve never had while getting a massage. She did something to my knee, that literally removed built up tension that I’ve had in the area, and didn’t even realize that I had. I’ve never had my scalp and face massaged either and that totally relaxed me. Her technique is very different but very much needed. Thank you so much for a great massage experience. Be back soon !!!
