It took a long time to work up the courage to move forward and find the right surgeon. About three years ago, one doctor’s name kept coming up in recommendations, but when I called for a consultation, I was put on hold and no one ever picked up. I ended up letting the problem sit again. Over the past year, due to high stress, my condition worsened, and I knew I could not put it off any longer. I went to my primary care doctor, Dr. Ertel, who recommended Dr. Huguet. I also did my own research and spoke with a close friend who is a nurse. She immediately said that if I was finally ready, Dr. Huguet was the surgeon to see. I made an appointment and was seen within a week. From the moment I walked into the office, the staff was kind and welcoming, and the office itself was extremely clean. I was very embarrassed about my condition, but everyone made me feel comfortable. Dr. Huguet was kind, caring, and patient. When I am nervous, I tend to talk a lot, and he truly listened. He made the exam easy and explained everything clearly. His recommendation matched exactly what I had already learned through my own research, which gave me great confidence. I had surgery one week later, and it was beyond successful. Dr. Huguet did exactly what he explained he would do. Before surgery, he came to see me, and I told him I wished him a clear mind, steady hands, and to make everything functional and “pretty.” He delivered on all of it. My recovery was exactly as Dr. Huguet explained it would be. My follow-up appointment was with the physician assistant, and she was incredibly kind and helpful. I also had the opportunity to see Dr. Huguet in the office and thank him personally. I am beyond happy that I found the courage to make this decision and that I found such a skilled and compassionate surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Huguet and his entire team.

I don't know why it took me so long to leave a review. Dr. Huguet did my gastric sleeve surgery on Oct.14,2024. From the first time ever meeting Dr. Huguet, he was very patient with me as I had concerns about the surgery. He made me feel 100% better after going over all the details of what is needed to do, and what to expect from the surgery. I went today for my 1year check up, and I just couldn't thank Dr. Huguet enough for giving me my health back!! I definitely recommend going to Dr. Huguet!! Thank you again Dr. Huguet!! You also have a very nice caring staff!!

Very pleased with the whole process. The surgical experience was far easier than I imagined, as well as the recovery. I was able to go back to work 4 days after the surgery.

One week post-surgery and I’m feeling great! I had a hernia repair done by Dr. Huguet, and everything from the initial appointment to the surgery and follow-up has been completely seamless. The staff is wonderful and very informative, explaining the entire process from start to finish. My incision is healing nicely, and while it will take a few more weeks to be fully back to normal, I’m definitely on the mend. The craziest part is that even though there’s some expected discomfort, the pain has been very minimal — I only needed OTC pain medication. Just don’t cough, sneeze, or laugh… that’s definitely the worst part! 5 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dr. Huguet and Carlee Freed were absolutely fantastic! The umbilical hernia surgery they performed on me was the first surgery I’ve ever had, and the experience was seamless: the lack of pain and stress before, during, and after the surgery was amazing. This was literally the best and most positive medical experience I have ever had.
