I’m writing this so nobody else goes through what I did. I had gynecomastia surgery with this doctor when I was 16. It was something I’d been insecure about for years, and I thought I found the right surgeon. I was promised the best results and told if anything went wrong, he’d fix it. A month after surgery, I noticed every time I lifted my arm my nipple would cave in. On top of that, they started getting puffy again. I went back, and he gave me injections that did nothing. A few months later, same problem. I went in again, same injections, still no results. I got tired of wasting my time, so I waited almost a year before going back for a third time. When I told him this clearly wasn’t working and asked what else could be done, he looked at me and said it was because of my weight. Then he grabbed my stomach and squeezed it a bit. BTW I’m not obese, a little tummy fat maybe but that has nothing to do with why my nipples are still puffy. Instead of helping me, he decided to body shame me. That was the last time I went back. I’m 22 now, and my nipples are still a bit puffy. I can live with it, but it’s not what I was promised. Body shaming isn’t an excuse for bad results. If you’re considering surgery, think twice before trusting him. Hopefully when he reads this he knows exactly who I am. 👋

Dr Blau is professional and very thorough. He's done a remarkable job with my Gyno. I was 20 pounds+ heavier when I did the operation and still the results are stellar after weight loss. Still some barely noticeable sag around the right chest but considering the size of my glands removed, it's to be expected. The doctor offered lipo if it's a great concern but as I'm still trying to lose weight, we're going to wait and see. I had two post-op consultations both of which he took time to consult me free of charge.

Two weeks post gyno surgery here. Dr Blau was was very professional during the consultation. Surgery results came out amazing and the healing has gone very well so far.

As of writing this review I am currently 8 days post op and I can easily say without a doubt that Dr. Blau and his incredible team have changed my life. As anyone with gynecomastia will know, living in a body that you feel doesn’t represent who you are feels so alienating and othering. The way my clothes look and feel has completely changed. The way my behavior and how I carry myself has completely changed. I have wanted to do this since I was 13 and now being almost 33 it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and I am so glad that I found Dr. Blau. There were many years of questioning if this is the right this to do, to go through with plastic surgery. It took a lot of debating and convincing, both myself and my partner that it was, in fact the right thing to do. When I did decide to go through with the surgery I had a long waiting period (by choice as it fit better with my work schedule) from time of the consult to the surgery, that time of waiting was full of anxiety and anticipation that was more difficult to manage than the actual surgery and recovery itself. I found Dr. Blau in the summer of 2022 on TikTok and when I saw he was located in upstate New York, only an hour drive from the city, I knew he was going to be the one I wanted to do my surgery. After going through his portfolio, his skill and passion was evident and he was absolutely the right person I needed to find. Du. Blau is incredible. He answered all of my questions with confidence and clarity. His years of dedication and commitment to revising gynecomastia and his artwork shows. I never felt judged or uncomfortable. It was a quick, concise, and easy experience from the initial consultation, the surgery itself, to the post op appointments. I also read his book about gynecomastia and have never felt so seen and understood within the first few pages. Dr. Blau’s team, Trudy, Mary Ann and Dr. Spencer are so kind and welcoming. They made the whole process easy and enjoyable. I enjoyed getting to know them and am sad that I don’t get to hang out with them more often (maybe I need to get another surgery! haha!) Post op: the days after surgery were difficult to sleep as you have to sleep on your back (I’m a side sleeper). The swelling and bruising looks intense but doesn’t hurt that bad at all and I was able to manage easily with Advil (the sensation more tickled and felt numb but was fine). The thing that that was the most uncomfortable, which I think was caused by the anesthesia, was a pretty rough bloating spell, which with was fixed with Gas-X. For anyone on the fence, Dr. Blau is the best! I am so excited to see how things change for me 3 weeks to 3 months to 6 months post-op. Thank you so much and I will forever be grateful for this amazing experience!!!!

DR. Blau completely changed my life , I went to him with a serious case of gynecomastia , I’ve had it since I was 12 years old , never wore certain shirts because I simply didn’t look good in them. At the age of 23 I decided to pull the trigger and do gunk surgery , when I say it was worth it , there’s nothing you can offer me to go back to pre surgery. Dr Blau and his staff are 10/10 , pre surgery they were very understanding and comforting , post surgery the nurse would make sure I was always good and checking up , no ugly scarring and my chest is brand new and I wear whatever I want now , my confidence is through the roof thanks to Dr Blau ! 10/10 highly recommend him for gyno surgery.
